Thanks to the ease of care, strength and beauty, granite and marble are one of the preferred materials for the development of kitchen countertops (especially granite) and bathrooms, usually cleaning is simple, however, it is a porous material and if not properly maintained it can stain and deteriorate more quickly, so we recommend you follow these tips to prolong the life of your countertop, you will see that it is very easy to care for your granite countertop:

1.- If you spill liquids or food, clean immediately with a mixture of water and a little non-abrasive soap, as we mentioned before, granite is a porous material, so if it is not cleaned quickly it can stain, in addition to creating an environment suitable for the proliferation of bacteria.

When cleaning your countertop, avoid using corrosive products such as acids or ammonia, as these deteriorate the surface and can damage the glossy finish.

3.- When you are going to place hot objects such as pots just taken off the stove, try to place a heat-resistant surface such as a wooden board or a damp cloth to avoid sudden changes in temperature that can affect the countertop.

Avoid breaking very hard materials on your countertop or hitting it with strong objects, if you need to break frozen meats, bones, bread or place heavy objects, try to do it carefully and if possible not directly on the granite since you can splinter it, fracture it or stain it, remember that although it is a resistant material, it has its limitations.

Tip: Choose the experts at Soluciones R to give maintenance and deep cleaning to your marble and granite bars.
