If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, follow these steps:

  • Telephone your health care provider or a COVID-19 hotline to find out where and when you can get tested.

  • Cooperate in screening procedures to stop the spread of the virus.

  • If testing is not possible, stay home and isolate yourself for 14 days.

  • During the quarantine period, do not go to work, school or public places. If you need anything from outside, ask someone to bring it to you.

  • Keep a distance of at least 1 meter from other people, including family members.

  • Wear a mask so as not to infect others. You should also wear it if you need to go to a medical center.

  • Wash your hands frequently.

  • Stay in a room away from other family members and, if this is not possible, wear a mask.

  • Keep the room well ventilated.

  • If you share a bedroom with other people, there should be a separation of at least 1 meter between beds.

  • Monitor your symptoms for 14 days.

  • Telephone your health care provider immediately if you have any dangerous symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, loss of mobility or speech, confusion, or chest pain.

  • Keep a positive attitude. You can do this by communicating with your loved ones over the phone or Internet, or by exercising at home.
