If you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19, follow these steps:
Telephone your health care provider or a COVID-19 hotline to find out where and when you can get tested.
Cooperate in screening procedures to stop the spread of the virus.
If testing is not possible, stay home and isolate yourself for 14 days.
During the quarantine period, do not go to work, school or public places. If you need anything from outside, ask someone to bring it to you.
Keep a distance of at least 1 meter from other people, including family members.
Wear a mask so as not to infect others. You should also wear it if you need to go to a medical center.
Wash your hands frequently.
Stay in a room away from other family members and, if this is not possible, wear a mask.
Keep the room well ventilated.
If you share a bedroom with other people, there should be a separation of at least 1 meter between beds.
Monitor your symptoms for 14 days.
Telephone your health care provider immediately if you have any dangerous symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, loss of mobility or speech, confusion, or chest pain.
Keep a positive attitude. You can do this by communicating with your loved ones over the phone or Internet, or by exercising at home.
