How often should I polish my floors?

First of all, we must take into account that there is a great variety and difference between Marble, Granite and Terrazzo floors.

Marble is a natural limestone with different colors and veins that make it particularly aesthetic and must be polished and shined to keep it clean, shiny and free of porosity.

Granite and Terrazzo is elaborated with small marble stones in slabs of paste or cement.

There is also Poured Terrazzo or Granite, which is a mixture of cement with marble pieces of different sizes, which is applied fresh directly on the floor like a normal concrete slab.

When floors are new or recently laid, the floor should be roughed prior to polishing and shining.

We recommend, ideally, polishing once every 6 months.

How to notice it? When there are parts of the floor that begin to look dull, when it begins to present scratches or circular marks like spider web.

And mainly after major renovations in your home, such as construction of new rooms, woodwork or tile work, because the dust at first glance not noticeable on your floor, with frequent traffic, can lead to loss of brightness and scratches on them.

A preventive work is much better than a restoration service that usually yields results not as visible or not as shiny as you wanted, or even having to perform the polishing service with very heavy three-phase equipment that instead of solving the situation will damage your fine floors.
